Since 2017, through our Pears #iWill Fund partnership with The National Lottery Community Fund and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, we have been supporting over 30 NHS Trusts across the country to develop their youth engagement, and explore ways to embed young volunteers within their Trust. Today, we’re delighted to be launching the report from our Learning Partner, IVAR, sharing insights, statistics and stories from across the Trusts and exploring the meaningful contribution and impact of young volunteers.
This work builds on the report launched last week by the King’s Fund highlighting the case for a strategic approach to volunteering within the NHS, and demonstrates the benefits of making NHS volunteering more inclusive and accessible.
Further resources, including templates and tips for NHS Trusts interested in supporting this work as well as videos of some of the incredible young volunteers, can be found on the IVAR website.
