We’re celebrating the opening this month of TouchBase Pears, a pioneering, multi-purpose centre in Selly Oak, Birmingham. Developed by deafblind charity Sense, the centre will operate as a social enterprise, with a focus on sustainability and being an inclusive space for everyone in the local community to use and enjoy. TouchBase Pears will be a national flagship service for Sense, offering a range of specialist services for people with sensory impairments or complex needs, as well as a community hub with a café, a sensory garden, conference and training facilities and an arts and performance area.
