Pears Foundation is proud to be part of a major new collaboration aiming to address the rising levels of child poverty across the UK.

Communities for Children, a £15 million programme launched by BBC Children in Need alongside The National Lottery Community Fund, City Bridge Foundation, The Hunter Foundation and Pears Foundation, will provide targeted support for children growing up in the most economically disadvantaged areas.

The five-year programme will focus on ten locations across the UK, each receiving up to £1.5 million to build partnerships and develop solutions responding to local need. By listening to those with lived experience, Communities for Children aims to challenge stigma and influence systems, with learning being shared between communities to help effective approaches spread more widely.

The partnership is the first major UK-wide funding collaboration dedicated to tackling child poverty. Pears Foundation is delighted to join this ambitious effort to drive meaningful change for children and families most affected by poverty.
