Launch of NHS70 Youth Social Action Campaign: Empowering Young People in Health and Social Care

We are excited to attend the Launch NHS70 increasing opportunities for young people to make a difference.

15th January 2018

On Monday 15th January, we were delighted to join friends and partners at the Royal College of Nursing to celebrate the launch of NHS70 and its focus on increasing opportunities for young people to make a difference in health and social care.

The event brought together representatives from NHS England, Public Health England, the #iwill Campaign and key stakeholders from across the sector to share information and expertise, and to network and develop partnerships.

NHS70 provides a fantastic opportunity to celebrate and grow youth social action in health and social care.  At Pears Foundation, we are looking forward to building our support of youth volunteering within NHS Trusts through the Pears #iwill Fund.

We are very pleased to be already supporting Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, South London and Maudesley NHS Foundation Trust, University Hospitals Bristol NHS Trust, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Trust, and Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

If you are an NHS Trust interested in developing your youth social action offer, have a look at our insights document, written by the participants in Nesta’s Helping in Hospitals programme, specifically around the role of young volunteers.

If you are interested in applying to the Pears #iwill Fund, full guidance on the application process is available to download here, and project registrations can be submitted online here.
