Imperial College London and the University of Cumbria, with philanthropic support from Pears Foundation, have come together to create the Pears Cumbria School of Medicine.

The building is named after Clarice Pears, mother of the Pears Foundation’s three founders and trustees and the Foundation contributed  £5 million towards its construction.
