Strengthening the muscle for difficult conversations
Pears Hub
This workshop is also being run on Thursday 5th of March
Over a hundred of you have taken part in Daniel Wehrenfennig’s workshop on Building the muscle for difficult conversations and we know that many of you are keen to go further.
We are delighted to announce that Daniel has designed a new session that offers a deeper dive into the techniques introduced in the original workshop. This will be an interactive workshop, delivered in a smaller group, with opportunities to practise your skills
Please have a look at the description and fill in the expression of interest form if you’d like to join – we’d love to welcome you back to strengthen your difficult conversations muscle!
Please ONLY fill out the form if you have already done one of Daniel’s Building the muscle workshops, or have signed up for it on 24th February.
The workshop will explore the stories we tell ourselves, our ability to understand others, and how to recognise the differences that divide us. Participants will engage in active roleplay and guided workshop conversations, practising verbal and non-verbal communication skills to further strengthen their muscle for difficult conversations.
This session builds on current research, including the Harvard Negotiation Project and Nonviolent Communication, as well as best practices in storytelling. It will examine the realities of our increasingly fractured society and the echo chambers in which many of us live, offering fresh perspectives on how we relate across difference.
We hope the workshop will provide practical tools to help you navigate challenging conversations and relationships.
Who is it for?
This workshop is only for those of you who have previously attended Daniel’s Building the muscle for difficult conversations training and are keen to build on and practise your skills. If you haven’t yet attended the introductory session, you are very welcome to join it on 24th February.
As this is a highly interactive session, please come prepared to explore and practise difficult conversations in a non-judgemental environment. Feel free to bring an example of a conversation you would like to work through.
