Finance for Non-Finance Professionals: Preparing and Managing Budgets
JHub, Haskell House, 152 West End Lane, London, NW6 1SD
Back by popular demand, our Finance for non-finance professionals course has been designed for charity leaders who have financial responsibilities but no previous financial experience.
In any organisation budgets need to be planned and managed carefully and resources allocated effectively. This can be a daunting prospect, particularly if you are managing a budget without any financial expertise.
This practical, engaging, and even humorous, half-day workshop delivered by Uday Thakkar, Managing Director of Red Ochre, will help to clarify terminology around budgets, provide planning tools, explain full cost recovery and how to use budgets in a funding proposal. Case studies and real-life examples will be used to support the approaches that are covered so that participants leave the session with the tools and confidence to effectively prepare and manage their own budgets.
This course is only open to Pears Grantees and aimed at anyone with little or no previous financial experience but who have responsibility for planning budgets in their organisations.
It would particularly suit people that have recently moved into management and are new to managing budgets or new CEOs with no financial expertise.
