Britain’s politics is increasingly fragmenting. Playing a distinctive role in this is a group that More in Common calls ‘Progressive Activists’ – the group of highly educated, politically engaged Britons who make up one tenth of the population but are significantly overrepresented in online political debates and in the charity sector. In recent years, the views of this group have drifted further from the rest of the public.

Drawing on polling of over 1,000 Progressive Activists and interviews with charity CEOs, More in Common‘s research will offer new insights for charity leaders, campaigners seeking to build broader coalitions, and anyone interested in how social change happens in modern Britain. It will provide practical recommendations for bridging the growing divide between this influential group and the wider public they hope to persuade.

More in Common will present this important new research, which is due
to be published just before this event,  and answer your questions.

This lunch and learn is for anyone who would like to join, but will be of particular relevance to anyone with an interest in social change, activism and/or people management
